Dads/Male Caregivers and Kids returns this fall with in-person gatherings taking place once a month at the Huron County Museum or Huron Historic Gaol.
Presented in partnership with Rural Response for Health Children, each gathering includes tours of the Museum or Gaol, artifact and exhibit activities, parent/child social time, healthy snacks, and games. Program themes, dates and times:
- Thursday, Sept. 28, 6 p.m. (at the Museum): This month’s theme is Back to School. Learn about what school was like in the past and play with some old school artifacts.
- Thursday, Oct. 26, 6 p.m. (at the Gaol): This month’s theme is Museum Ghosts. Take a tour of the Gaol and learn about some of the spooky stories that have happened in this historic building.
- Thursday, Nov. 23, 6 p.m. (at the Museum): This month’s theme is Remembrance Day. Discuss the importance of Remembrance Day and Huron County’s participation in the World Wars. Participate in a fun weaving craft.
- Thursday, Dec. 21, 6 p.m. (at the Museum): This month’s theme is Holidays and Celebrations. Learn about holidays and how they are celebrated in different cultures.
