To kick off the spring field trip season, the Huron County Museum is excited to host a limited edition of the Salt of the Earth education program.
Designed for students in Grades 4-8, local school groups will have the opportunity to learn what it is like to work underground at the world’s largest salt mine. Learn about salt, the mining process, and the different kinds of jobs available at the mine from a member of the Compass Minerals management team, who will also answer student’s questions.
This special program is limited to two classes per session, but the Huron County Museum offers a wide variety of programs for kindergarten to high school to add to your field trip list!
