Oct. 25, 2024: Haunted History – Join us for a hair-raising day camp at the Museum! Get ready for a day filled with eerie excitement as we explore mysterious exhibits, craft creepy creations, and go on a spine-tingling scavenger hunt through the museum! Come in costume if you like!
Nov. 15, 2024: Timeless Trends – Step into the world of style and trends from centuries past at this PA Day Camp! We will explore iconic fashions, from ancient robes to Victorian dresses, and discover how hairstyles have evolved through the ages. Through hands-on activities, costume design, and fun hair styling, campers will get to express their creativity and create their own fashion masterpieces!
Jan. 31, 2025: When I Grow Up – Ever wonder what it was like to be a blacksmith, a cobbler, or a farmer a hundred years ago? Join us for a fun-filled day as we explore fascinating jobs and industries from Huron County history and learn about the important roles people played in shaping the world we live in today.
May 2, 2025: Marvelous Maps – Get ready to chart your course as we spend the day learning all about maps! Young explorers will dive into map-making, uncover old maps from Huron County, and learn how people navigated the world long before GPS!
June 6, 2025: Amazing Inventions – Join us for an exciting journey through history as we explore incredible technological advancements that changed the world from the wheel, to the printing press, and the light bulb. Through hands-on activities and fun experiments, campers will learn how technology has evolved and even get to imagine the inventions of the future!
Day Camp FAQ:
- Open to children ages 5 – 10
- Day camp programming runs 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Day camp morning drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m.; pick-up ends at 4:30 p.m.
- Museum members receive day camp discounts! Become a member!
- PA Day Camp: $40 Non-members | $35 Members
REGISTRATION: To register, please complete and sign the registration form. You can drop off the completed form to the Huron County Museum front desk or email to museum@huroncounty.ca. Museum staff will confirm there is space available for your registration either at the desk or by a follow-up email. There will be a waiting list once capacities are filled.
